Reporting to the Associate Director of IT, the Cloud Engineer will work with the IT and Development teams to maintain and modernize Trinity’s cloud and internal infrastructures. The ideal candidate is well versed in Microsoft Azure and O365, has a firm understanding of cloud based and emerging technologies. Their ability to apply their industry knowledge to Trinity’s environment will be crucial.

Qualifications

Education: Degree in Computer Science Preferred but Not Necessary

Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of direct work experience

Location: Waltham, MA

Other Skills: Knowledge or working skills in the following areas is preferred, but not required:

  1. Designing and Deploying Cloud Systems:
    • Developing and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
    • Ensuring efficient data storage and adherence to security policies.
    • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  2. Automation and Efficiency:
    • Leveraging code to automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
    • Ensuring consistent and reproducible infrastructure across different environments.
    • Using version control for infrastructure configurations.
  3. Collaboration and Improvement:
    • Collaborating with other teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
    • Modifying and improving existing systems.
    • Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for enhancements.
  4. Stake Holder Interaction and Support:
    • Interacting with Stakeholders, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.

Requirements and Skills:

    • Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
    • Certifications in Azure, AWS, or GCP are preferred.
    • Experience with Zscaler preferred.
    • Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Client management skills for discussing systems as needed.

Trinity’s salary bands account for a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets and market demand for skills; level of experience and training; specific qualifications, performance, time in role/company, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,000- $135,000.

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus.
