The Senior Accountant is a key contributor within the Accounting group. It is a dynamic role that offers growth and exposure to many areas of accounting and finance. The ideal candidate is one who demonstrates a strong knowledge of GAAP with an attention to detail, absolute discretion and strong collaboration skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Direct contributor to the monthly close process through booking journal entries and preparing reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the general ledger for all entities; both foreign and domestic.
  • Drive and constantly improve the accounts payable and expense reimbursement process.
  • Supervise and appropriately delegate to the Staff Accountant.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Perform domestic and international consolidations and intercompany accounting.
  • Maintenance of Balance Sheet reconciliations and bank account reconciliations.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to generate efficiencies and increase the effectiveness of financial operations. Support new business initiatives and collaborate to drive internal improvements. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances, as necessary.
  • File the company’s GST and TDS returns.
  • Strong knowledge of iGaap and USGaap.
  • Oversee the completion of the annual GSTR9 and 9C Fillings.
  • Support Accounting Manager with ad hoc account analysis during monthly closing period.
  • Stepping in to assist with Accounts Payable when necessary, including entering bills, researching internal/external stakeholder questions, as well as approving expense reports.
  • Key contributor to the annual audit with a goal of an efficient, clean audit with no adjustments.
  • 4-7 years progressive accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA/CA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite financial system is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with accounting for multiple subsidiaries, including foreign and domestic is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Deadline-driven, solutions-oriented, and able to succeed in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Experience in a medium sized, high-growth company; Private Equity backed company experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including experience in translating financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including finance and non-finance managers.
  • Energized sense of urgency with a strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy. Highly detail oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining productivity.
