We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Strategic Operations team responsible for supporting our Analytics business unit (includes Commercial Analytics, Real World Evidence, Global Advanced Analytics, Data Management and Product Deployment and Technology functions). This team member will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring operations as well as supporting business planning across Analytics. This role includes strategic thought partnership for the Analytics team as well as senior Operations leadership.
Responsibilities:
Oversight of Project Management Processes
- Support leadership across Analytics in monitoring and ensuring alignment to Trinity organizational processes (timesheets, project plans, finance/ops processes)
- Support integration of acquired organizations into Trinity’s processes (recent acquisitions plus any newly acquired organizations)
- Onboard to processes and guide staff to resources for support
- Monitor progress on onboarding/integration and support leadership to adjust course where necessary
- Lead and mentor Project Management Office (PMO) team members dedicated to Analytics as direct reports, provide guidance and ensure understanding of Analytics operational processes
- Oversee project setup according to best practice, working with Sales Operations colleagues to ensure systems are setup for tracking of any Analytics-specific requirements or goals
- Collaborate with internal teams to adjust Trinity systems and processes to accommodate nuances of Analytics, where needed
- Work with legal and contracts team to implement and ensure adherence to best practices with regards to contracting terms and processes
- Monitor utilization, revenue, bookings and other key metrics, investigating variance between expectations and actuals
- Monitor and support renewals for recurring projects, ensure leadership are informed of progress
Oversight of Analytics Resourcing Processes
- Develop and implement strategy for rolling out resourcing support within Strategic operations group focused on Analytics staffing
- Understand resourcing needs, processes, and develop approach for ongoing support and monitoring.
- Lead and manage any direct reports within this new team
- Establish approach for tracking key metrics for resourcing within Analytics, including utilization and productivity
Collaborate with Operations Groups on Business Planning
- Support business planning processes across Analytics functional leaders, develop templates and support with required metrics and analysis to allow for strategy and goal-setting
- Maintain capacity model for Analytics, collaborating with People Operations and Finance colleagues to monitor progress on hiring, revenue recognition and other key metrics to ensure capacity exists to meet targets, assess and approve new hire requests where needed
- Leverage capacity model and collaborate with leadership and finance to develop and refine annual headcount plan
- Collaborate with finance and functional leaders in other financial and strategic planning processes (eg. client-level targets, mid-year reforecasting)
Support for Business Development and Account Planning
- Support strategic business development analytics including tracking of pipeline, project wins, and trends
- Support leadership in prioritizing accounts to target within analytics; determine account assignments and maintain account planning/ownership structure within Analytics
- Guide leadership to resources for BD and supporting understanding of processes
- Monitor and ensure adherence to best practices for opportunity/pipeline tracking
- Support new account opportunity identification and account segmentation processes for leadership team when needed, leveraging internal and subscription data sources
- Support development of pricing tools and guidance, including development and refinement of Analytics-focused opportunity scoping tool to provide immediate pricing feedback to leadership
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management or related fields
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel if needed
