The Associate Director of the Proposal Support Team will lead a team of proposal professionals in the development, -production, and delivery of proposals. The Associate Director will oversee the quality assurance of proposal processes, manage a creative team of proposal developers, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure top-quality, competitive proposals. With a focus on developing strategies in conjunction with the leadership in Strategic Operations function, the Associate Director will have direct involvement with Trinity’s proposal processes as well as planning and oversight. While partnering with senior leadership, the Associate Director will make recommendations and lead enhancements in proposal development processes for the function.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of ~20 proposal professionals.
  • Oversee the quality assurance of proposal development processes and ensure compliance with agreed strategies and expectations.
  • Provide strategic input on all proposal sections (technical and non-technical).
  • Assist the team with specialized writing, graphics, and proposal organization.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate ideas into competitive proposals.
  • Engage with management and leadership to provide accurate proposal status updates and communicate/overcome challenges.
  • Refine existing proposal processes, tools, and templates, including methods for conducting proposal reviews.
  • Work with senior leaders to develop, deploy, and commit to new practices and set up new knowledge/content libraries.
  • Responsible for people management duties, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations of assigned employees.
  • Actively monitor team dynamics and proactively address issues.
  • Develop people-related strategies and coach aspiring leaders to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Education

  • Post graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Communications) is required. APMP certification is an added advantage.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in proposal management, with a focus on life sciences consulting, primary market research or analytics.
  • Proven track record of effective and strong leadership, with experience leading teams of 10+ individuals.
  • Strong stakeholder management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience supporting the development and implementation of process/tool improvements in the proposal function.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience interacting with senior leadership personnel.
