Smit has 5 years of experience with biopharma engagements in global and US markets including due diligences, forecasts, and primary and secondary market research. During that time, Smit has built up expertise in new product strategy, particularly within rare disease, hematology, and immunology.

Smit started their career in MedTech consulting before joining Trinity Life Sciences and has a B.A. in Biology and Economics from Brandeis University.
