• These same companies are using GenAI at an enterprise level across functions and business units; while Medical Affairs is the current leader in GenAI adoption, other functions such as Commercial Analytics & Insights, Business Operations, Omnichannel and Digital and Learning and Development are incorporating GenAI into their work.
• Nevertheless, adoption of GenAI remains work-in-progress for these companies – most organizations report they are still “sorting out” the mix of internal IT-led development of tools and processes vs. outsourcing, that they are still in the process of scaling adoption of GenAI, and that they are looking for a “whole product” experience and not just a GenAI chatbot.
