Matthew Barrett

Matthew Barrett has over 10 years of consulting experience in the life sciences, with a focus on global pricing, market access strategy and implications for evidence strategy. He has pan-industry expertise with depth across biopharma, diagnostics and devices, and across many therapy areas, including oncology, CNS, anti-infectives, metabolic disorders, auto-immune diseases, cardiovascular, dermatology and rare diseases. He has broad functional capabilities, with expertise spanning pricing and market access, evidence generation, portfolio strategy and asset evaluation, and the interface of commercial and development strategy, in U.S. and global markets.
Before joining Trinity, Matthew was a Principal in the Value & Access team within IQVIA Consulting Services; he has previous consulting experience at McKinsey & Company and Analysis Group. Earlier in his career, he was a diplomat, representing New Zealand’s interests in international negotiations in multilateral fora.
Matthew has a PhD in philosophy from Stanford University, and a BSc (Hons) (in mathematics) and BA (in philosophy) from Victoria University, New Zealand.
Outside work, Matthew is passionate about exploring nature, cooking (and consuming) food, music, film and literature.
