Position Summary

The Manager, Forecasting is an integral member of our Commercial Analytics team working closely with leadership and other team members. We’re seeking a driven, committed and high energy individual who will be responsible for building forecast models, managing junior staff, and clearly presenting forecast models and outputs to internal management and clients. The Manager is also responsible for effectively communicating with every project team member including managers on all matters related to project assignments. In this position, the Manager is expected to multi-task across multiple projects and project types concurrently while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy.

This Hybrid position is ideally office based in greater Boston, MA or Princeton, NJ

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead forecast model builds while managing junior staff
  • Provide ongoing support for existing forecast models
  • Work on creating best practices and modules to help standardize forecasting across Trinity
  • Assist in creating and implementing quality control best practices
  • Provide on-site support to clients when applicable
  • Work closely with general consultants as well as Trinity’s PMR, Advanced Analytics and Statistics teams to create forecasts that leverage multiple areas of expertise
  • Develop client-ready forecasts and supporting materials independently and clearly present findings
  • Serve as client point of contact
  • Assist project manager with establishing timelines for internal and external deliverables
  • Drive internal communication to keep all team members in the loop with project status
  • Deliver solutions to clients, exercising sound business judgment, proactively following up on tasks as needed and managing tasks through to completion
  • Support strategic and operational initiatives as assigned
  • Help train junior members of forecasting team as well as assisting with training generalists consultants

Position Requirements

  • Education: BS or MS in quantitative, business, or other related fields
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years of work experience in forecasting, analytics or related area. Experience/familiarity with life sciences data and forecasting is preferred.

  • Proficient with MS Excel (knowledge of VBA is preferred)
